Description
Choosing a blade for a walk-behind saw is a depth decision before it is anything else. A blade safely cuts about a third of its own diameter in a single pass, so an 18″ blade gives you roughly 6″ of slab and a 36″ blade reaches around 12″. Order on price instead of required depth and the crew ends up making three passes where one would have done.

Wet only, and that is no hardship
Run this blade wet. A walk-behind already carries a tank or a hose connection, so there is nothing to arrange, and water buys two to three times the blade life while turning airborne silica into slurry you can control. Check flow at both blade guards before each run — a feed blocked on one side will cup a large blade fast, and a cupped blade never comes back true.
