Description
Low-vibration is not a comfort feature on a floor saw — it is what determines how long an operator can legally and safely stay behind the machine. On a long shift of continuous sawing, hand-arm vibration exposure limits are a real constraint on the program, and a low-vibration machine is often the difference between one operator and two.
Stepping up from a mid-size saw
The FS400 LV is the machine you move to when the FS305-class saw is working at its limit: longer runs, deeper cuts, more hours per week, and a blade diameter that takes full-depth pavement in a single pass rather than two. Typical work is highway and roadway sawing, full-depth pavement repair boundaries, large industrial slabs and airport or port pavements.
What to think about before ordering
- Depth required — set your blade diameter from it, at roughly a third of diameter per pass, then check the saw accepts that blade.
- Water supply — sustained cutting needs a bowser or a mains feed, not a tank refill every few minutes.
- Transport and lifting — a larger saw needs planning to get on and off site.
