Description

Cutting a marble sill to length on site, trimming travertine around a floor drain, sizing a limestone cap to a course — this is the blade for finish work that happens after the fabricator has left. The sawn face ends up visible in the completed job, so edge quality decides everything and speed decides very little.

A continuous rim leaves an edge you can use

An unbroken continuous rim puts no segment marks and no chipping along the arris, which is what soft, layered stone needs. Marble and travertine flake at the edge under a segmented blade, and once a piece has flaked the only remedy is to cut another one. The soft bond is matched to the dense crystal structure of natural stone, wearing back at the rate the material demands so the rim never polishes over.

Diameters, and water is mandatory

Four sizes — 7″, 10″, 12″ and 14″ — for tile saws, stone table saws and handheld work with a water feed. Wet cutting only. With no gullets in the rim, the blade relies entirely on water to carry heat away and to flush the fine, sticky stone flour that otherwise packs the kerf and stalls the cut.

Granite is harder again and belongs on a segmented premium blade: the Granite Bridge Saw Blade. Rim types are compared in segmented vs turbo vs continuous.
