Description

A tile saw with dust extraction instead of a water tray solves a problem every tiler recognizes: the mess. No slurry tray to empty, no water to carry up three flights, nothing to spill on a finished floor, and no wet-saw station to build and then break down at the end of the day.

Dry cutting tile without the dust

The iQTS244 draws dust away at the blade and traps it inside the machine, which means it can be set up inside the room being tiled rather than out on a balcony or in a car park. For a tiler that is a genuine change in working pattern — the saw sits where the work is, cuts are quicker to make and check, and the offcut goes straight in the bucket.

Where a wet saw still wins

Be realistic about the trade-off. On large-format porcelain and on natural stone, wet cutting still gives the cleanest arris and the least risk of chipping, and a wet continuous rim blade is the right tool for a visible edge. A dust-extraction saw earns its place on volume and on cleanliness, not on ultimate edge quality.

Filter condition is what determines how well the extraction works — check it as routinely as you would check a blade. See tile saws and tile and porcelain blades.

Blade size, rip and diagonal capacity, motor rating and filter specification come from iQ Power Tools documentation, available on request.
