Description
Most dust control is bolted on afterwards: a shroud, a hose, a vacuum, and someone to manage all three. iQ Power Tools took the other route and built the extraction into the saw itself, so the dust never leaves the machine and there is nothing extra to set up, trip over or forget.
Why an integrated system changes the job
A 16.5″ masonry saw with onboard dust collection can work in places a wet saw and a conventional dry saw both struggle. No slurry means no bunding, no wash-down and no contaminated runoff — which matters on finished floors, in occupied buildings, on rooftops, and anywhere a wastewater discharge is a permit problem. No visible dust plume also removes the argument with a neighboring trade or a site manager.
