Description

The 14″ gas power cutter is the default handheld machine on American concrete work, and the K770 is the one most crews reach for. Gas means no cord, no battery management and no drop in power as the shift goes on — which is why it still dominates outdoor site work despite everything cordless has achieved indoors.

What it is for

Trench and utility cuts in roadway, slab openings for penetrations, demolition boundary cuts, curb and curb work, pipe cutting, and general concrete and masonry sawing where the work moves and a walk-behind cannot follow. A 14″ blade cuts to roughly a third of its diameter in a pass — about 4-1/2″ — so anything deeper is a two-side or multi-pass job, or a job for a floor saw.

Choosing between this and the alternatives

  • Choose gas for outdoor work, long cutting runs, and remote sites with no power.
  • Choose battery — the K1 PACE — for indoor, occupied or emission-sensitive work.
  • Choose a walk-behind for long straight runs and full-depth slab sawing.

Pair it with a hard-bond blade for asphalt and green concrete, or a soft-bond blade for cured slab — see diamond blades. Wear parts are in the K770 service kit.

Ask us for the current K770 data sheet — engine displacement, power output, weight and maximum cutting depth all come straight from Husqvarna.
