It applies to all orders placed through dotdiamondtools.com and is presented to you before you complete payment. <strong>Placing an order confirms that you have read and accepted these terms.<\/strong><\/p><h2>1. Return window<\/h2><p>You may request a return within <strong>30 days of the delivery date<\/strong>. Requests made after 30 days cannot be accepted, because diamond tooling has no resale value once it has been held in the field beyond that period.<\/p><p>All returns require a <strong>Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number issued by us before the goods are sent back<\/strong>. Products returned without an RMA number cannot be identified against an order and will not be refunded.<\/p><h2>2. Condition of returned goods<\/h2><p>To be eligible for a refund, a product must be:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Unused and unmounted.<\/strong> A diamond blade, core bit or cup wheel that has been fitted to a machine shows arbor and flange marks, and any segment contact with material is permanent and visible. Once mounted, a product cannot be resold and cannot be returned.<\/li><li><strong>In its original packaging<\/strong>, with all labels, inserts and protective materials intact.<\/li><li><strong>Complete.<\/strong> Packages, kits and bundles must be returned in full. Individual items from a kit cannot be returned separately.<\/li><\/ul><p>We inspect every returned item on arrival. Goods that show signs of use, mounting or damage in the customer&rsquo;s possession will be refused, and you will be given the option of having them returned to you at your cost.<\/p><h2>3. Items that cannot be returned<\/h2><p>The following are <strong>final sale<\/strong> and are not eligible for return or refund except where faulty:<\/p><ul><li>Any product that has been mounted, used or run, however briefly<\/li><li>Special-order, made-to-order and non-stock sizes, including large-diameter blades and core bits ordered specifically for you<\/li><li>Clearance, promotional and contractor-special bundles once opened<\/li><li>Products damaged by misuse, incorrect installation, running dry a wet-only product, exceeding the rated spindle speed, or use on material the product is not specified for<\/li><\/ul><div class=\"dot-policy-box\"><p><strong>Why used consumables cannot be returned.<\/strong> Diamond tooling is a consumable. A blade wears from the moment it enters material, and a used blade cannot be inspected, recertified or resold to another customer. This restriction is standard across the diamond tooling trade and is not specific to DOT Diamond Tools.<\/p><\/div><h2>4. Restocking fee<\/h2><p>Returns of non-defective products are subject to a <strong>20% restocking fee<\/strong>, deducted from the refund. This covers inspection, repackaging and returning stock to inventory.<\/p><p>No restocking fee applies where the return is our fault &mdash; an incorrect item shipped, a picking error, a product that does not match its published specification, or a manufacturing defect.<\/p><h2>5. Return shipping<\/h2><table><tr><th>Reason for return<\/th><th>Who pays return shipping<\/th><\/tr><tr><td>Changed your mind, ordered the wrong size or specification<\/td><td>Customer<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>We shipped the wrong item<\/td><td>DOT Diamond Tools<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Product is defective or does not match its published specification<\/td><td>DOT Diamond Tools<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Damaged in transit<\/td><td>DOT Diamond Tools<\/td><\/tr><\/table><p>Where you are responsible for return shipping, we recommend a tracked and insured service. <strong>Until a returned item reaches us it remains your responsibility<\/strong>, and we cannot refund goods that are lost in transit back to us.<\/p><h2>6. Faulty and defective products<\/h2><p>Report a suspected manufacturing defect within <strong>30 days of delivery<\/strong>. To assess a claim we need the order number, a description of the material being cut and the machine used, and <strong>clear photographs of the product<\/strong> including the segments, the core and any markings.<\/p><p>Diamond tooling failures are often application failures rather than manufacturing faults &mdash; glazing from an incorrect bond, undercutting from abrasive slurry, or a warped core from an interrupted water feed are wear characteristics, not defects. We will tell you honestly which we believe it is, and we will explain our reasoning.<\/p><p>Machines and powered equipment carry the <strong>manufacturer&rsquo;s own warranty<\/strong>. We will help you open a claim, but warranty repair and replacement are handled under the manufacturer&rsquo;s terms and timescales.<\/p><h2>7. Damage in transit<\/h2><p>Inspect your delivery on arrival. Report visible transit damage within <strong>5 business days of delivery<\/strong>, with photographs of the packaging as well as the product. Damage reported after this period cannot be claimed against the carrier and cannot be refunded.<\/p><h2>8. Order cancellation<\/h2><p>You may cancel an order at no charge at any time <strong>before it has shipped<\/strong>. Once an order has shipped it is treated as a return under this policy, and the restocking fee and return shipping terms above apply.<\/p><p>Special-order and made-to-order items cannot be cancelled once production or procurement has started.<\/p><h2>9. How refunds are issued<\/h2><ul><li>Refunds are issued to the <strong>original payment method only<\/strong>. We cannot refund to a different card, account or person.<\/li><li>Refunds are processed within <strong>5 business days<\/strong> of the returned goods being received and inspected.<\/li><li>Your bank or card issuer may take a further <strong>5 to 10 business days<\/strong> to post the funds to your account. That period is outside our control.<\/li><li>Original outbound shipping charges are <strong>not refundable<\/strong> except where the return is our fault.<\/li><\/ul><h2>10. Disputes and chargebacks<\/h2><div class=\"dot-policy-box\"><p><strong>Please contact us before raising a dispute with your card issuer.<\/strong> Almost every problem &mdash; a wrong size, a delayed delivery, a product that is not performing &mdash; is resolved faster by speaking to us directly than by opening a chargeback, and we would always rather fix it than argue about it.<\/p><p>Where a chargeback is raised, we will respond with the order record, the delivery confirmation, this policy as presented at the time of purchase, and any correspondence relating to the order.<\/p><\/div><h2>11. Changes to this policy<\/h2><p>We may update this policy. The version published on this page at the time you place your order is the version that governs that order.
