material takes a <em>soft<\/em> bond; soft, abrasive material takes a <em>hard<\/em> bond. It reads the wrong way round and it is the single most expensive mistake in the trade &mdash; see <a href=\"https:\/\/dotdiamondtools.com\/staging\/7279\/diamond-blade-bond-explained\/\">the bond guide<\/a>.<\/p><p><strong>Depth of cut.<\/strong> One pass should take no more than a third of the blade diameter. Choosing the cheaper, smaller blade is how a crew ends up making three passes where one would have done, which on a timed closure never pays.<\/p><p><strong>Silica.<\/strong> Cutting and grinding concrete dry is one of the highest-exposure tasks on any site.
